FEMI FANI - KAYODE AND OZUBULU CHURCH KILLINGS .............

Femi Fani - Kayode (FFK) was quick to preach his misplaced hatred against the Hausa - Fulani and Muslim North immediately the St. Philip's Catholic Church Ozubulu shooting saga was announced. He even claimed he 'knew' the perpetrators even from far away Lagos on the happenings in that remote part of Anambra State more than the sitting State Governor - Willie Obiano and the State Police Commissioner on ground - Garba Umar. The Police Commissioner's only sin is that he is perhaps a Muslim Northerner going by his name and by that he must have fitted into FFK's stereotype perception of the Muslim North!

To FFK, it was sinful for the Police to be efficient and timely in announcing its preliminary findings simply because the findings did not tally with FFK's embedded incurable hatred against Hausa - Fulani and the Muslim North.

He had already announced two perpetrators of the heinous crime  - Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen, as responsible for the Ozubulu sacrilegious killings of innocent worshippers who were attending the early Sunday morning mass.

Now that the TRUTH is so obvious and glaring, one would have expected FFK and people who shamelessly and unjustly insulted and castigated us on this to remorsefully say something like:

"Oh Nigerians, we are deeply sorry it turns out disappointingly this way. We condemn the sacrilegious murder of Christians by Christians in a Church using sophisticated weapons. It is as wrong for Muslims to be killing us as it is wrong for we Christians to be killing ourselves on drug money. .........."

Or something to that effect.

I read an article by a Canada based South Easterner who had argued vehemently barely 24 hours after the Church killings that South Easterners were TOO EDUCATED and TOO CIVILISED to perpetrate such violent murder of Church worshippers! I am still waiting for a retraction from him, and ironically, I have seen none! May be the identified perpetrators are NOT South Easterners or they are NOT civilised or educated! Just the way any other ethnic groups have their own fair share of uneducated/uncivilised population!

But I am yet to hear anything from FFK and the likes! To me, killing of human being by anybody is morally, humanly and ethically bad, unjustifiable and indefensible. But for FFK and his likes, it is ONLY BAD when it is North against South, Muslim against Christians, Hausa - Fulani against any other ethnic group in Nigeria! And that is where and how he revealed his pathological hatred for a group of people, that just like any other group, as this case has now revealed, that has a fair share of its good, bad and ugly members.

Yet, FFK is educated, or so he claimed!

Too bad for a warped Nigerian Elite called Femi Fani - Kayode, a former Presidential Adviser, a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a Lawyer, a former Presidential Campaign's Spokesman etc

I was devastated by the Ozubulu killings, but I was more than scared should it turn out to be the way FFK had wanted. While commiserating with the family of the deceased and the Nigerian Christian Community, I want to urge the Police to ensure that justice is done for those who lost their preciously irreplaceable lives by bringing the perpetrators to book. Even the allegations of drug dealings levelled against the so-called Bishop should be investigated and the full wrath of the law applied.

As a Muslim Northerner myself, it was a huge relief for me personally that FFK's motive has been unmasked on this matter. May the soul of the departed rest in the bosom of the Lord.

I am just thinking aloud!
